Backup, Disaster Recovery & Ransomware Recovery

When ransomware, hardware failure or human error strikes, reliable backups are your last line of defense. We make sure they work.

Backup & Ransomware Recovery Overview

Ransomware attackers now target backups first, deleting or encrypting them so victims have no choice but to pay. Many businesses only discover their backups are incomplete, outdated or impossible to restore when it is too late.

Signupit designs and manages backup and disaster recovery solutions following the 3-2-1-1 rule: multiple copies, on different media, one off-site and one immutable. We protect servers, cloud workloads, databases, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Odoo, and we regularly test restores so you know exactly how quickly you can recover.

What’s Included in Our Backup & Ransomware Recovery

Immutable backups

Backups that cannot be altered or deleted by ransomware.

Cloud & SaaS backup

Protection for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and cloud apps.

Server & database backup

Automated backups for on-premises and cloud servers, including Odoo.

Disaster recovery planning

Documented recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) and runbooks.

Restore testing

Regular test restores to prove backups actually work.

Ransomware recovery

Rapid, clean recovery of systems and data after an attack.

Key Benefits

  • Recover without paying a ransom
  • Minimal downtime after incidents
  • Protection against accidental deletion
  • Proven, tested recovery times
  • Peace of mind for leadership

Our Backup & Ransomware Recovery Process

Every engagement follows our proven delivery framework:

FAQ

Backup & Ransomware Recovery: FAQs

Doesn’t Microsoft 365 already back up our data?

Microsoft keeps your service running, but its built-in retention is limited and not a substitute for an independent backup. A third-party backup protects you from deletion, ransomware and retention gaps.

What is an immutable backup?

An immutable backup cannot be modified or deleted for a set period, even by an administrator account, which protects it from ransomware and malicious insiders.

How often should backups be tested?

We recommend testing restores at least quarterly, and after any major system change.

What are RTO and RPO?

Recovery time objective (RTO) is how quickly you need systems back online. Recovery point objective (RPO) is how much data you can afford to lose. We design backups to meet both.
